Time: 10:30am arrival
Location: 172 Showground Road, Castle Hill
Cost: $10 per person, including morning tea

Bookings for Powerhouse Tour are to be directed to Hazel Reddish and made BEFORE March 28th as we need to give numbers a month in advance.

There are a few main conditions that need to be met prior to the tour commencing to ensure the tour runs as smoothly as possible. They are:

  1. All bags must be cloaked in the public lockers before entering the behind-the scenes areas.
  2. Personal photography is permitted, however professional photography, flash photography and tripods are not permitted.
  3. Visitors are required to wear covered shoes—no thongs are permitted. Visitors are also advised to wear comfortable shoes for walking.

Time:   10.30am- arrival + morning tea

11.00am - tour starts

12.30pm - tour finishes

No. of people: 40 people max.

Description

The Powerhouse Discovery Centre: Collection Stores at Castle Hill is part of the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences, along with the Powerhouse Museum in Darling Harbour and Sydney Observatory at the Rocks.

The Powerhouse Discovery Centre is the Museum’s off-site storage and collection care facility, located on the corner of Windsor and Showground roads in Castle Hill in northwest Sydney.

The Museum’s unique and diverse collection of 385,000 objects spans history, science, technology, design, industry, decorative arts, music, transport and space exploration.
