Materials: Oddments of smooth cotton yarn, 6ply doubled works great
1pr 5mm (UK 6) knitting needles
1 crochet hook
1 tapestry needle to join seam Instructions Cast on 24 sts. 1st row - K2 P2. Repeat this row 4 times. Continue in stocking stitch for 4 1/2 inches (approx. 11cm) from beginning. Cast off. Make up. Close bottom and side with mattress stitch. Sew a button to centre of one side. With crochet hook, join one strand of the yarn to top of centre back. Crochet a chain 15 times, form a loop around the button and finish off. Pattern: Beryl Mercica
