Camp is very soon
As the weekend is getting close, now is the time to start working on your competition entries! The first competition is very easy and we hope everyone will enter. Just make a square – knitted, crocheted or a combination of the two. It must be in the Guild colours, ie red and green, but may include white as well, if you prefer. The square must be 15cm x 15cm. You can use any weight yarn, any fibre and any stitch you want. The judge (Norah Gaughan) will be looking for interesting ideas, great use of colour and the WOW factor. You can of course reclaim your square at the end of the weekend but the Guild would really appreciate it if you would donate it to us so that the squares can be used for exhibitions and displays in the future.
The second competition is a One Skein Challenge. Knit, crochet or use a combination of both techniques to create anything you want. HOWEVER, the item must use no more than one skein of yarn, maximum 100g. So if you want to make something colourful, you need a skein of colourful yarn – no mixing of skeins allowed.
