President's Message

Welcome to the website of the Knitters' Guild of NSW
The Guild began nearly 30 years ago in the Northern suburbs of Sydney, and has since become a State-wide organisation. The Guild exists to promote the craft of knitting, and this website aims to provide information to local knitters about the crafts of knitting and crochet in Australia in the 21st century.

As at May 2013 we have 22 groups, rural and urban, over 600 members, and we are growing rapidly. This website also serves to keep our members updated with the Guild's activities, which include monthly local group meetings, workshops, judging at shows, maintaining of an archival collection, and State-wide events such as our bi-annual knitting camp. You can follow us on twitter @KnitGuildNSW if you'd like to keep up-to-date with this information. If you would like more information please email secretary@knittersguildnsw.org.au or a local convenor, using the locations tab at the top of the page.
