The Inner City group meets at Customs House Library at Sydney's Circular Quay in the 2nd floor meeting room at 11am on the 2nd Saturday each month. The Convenor is Kris Howard. To contact the group, send e-mail to the Convenor.

Knitting Workshops

Members of the Inner City group are happy to offer free learn to knit sessions for beginners or those needing a refresher course. Sessions 2.00pm - 3.30pm on meeting days. Wool and needles will be supplied. All ages welcome (children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). Bookings essential. Agenda for February 13th Meeting

Agenda for Inner City Branch of the Knitters Guild meeting, February 13, 2009, 11.00 am to 1.00 pm.

The meeting will be held at the City of Sydney Library, 2nd Floor meeting room, Customs House, Circular Quay.   Remember to sign the attendance register!  Subs are still a gold coin.

Last chance to use the Group facility for membership renewal; bring your cash today or make your bank transfer before this meeting.

11.00 - Brief socialising and meeting set up

11.15 - Business:

  • Re-organising our Library – Kate Sexton (Kate asked for your recommendations re book purchases; Kris has opened a thread re books for borrowing.)
  • AGM and nominations for the Executive – update

12.00 - Tea/coffee break (Morning tea roster – Asa and Kim).  Remember we decided to reduce waste and landfill by bringing our own cups and plates - please do so if you can.  And take them home unwashed.  Its all part of being an eco warrior.

12.15 – Guest Speaker Jenny Hopper – yarn from a spinner’s perspective.  (And some handspun yarn for sale after the meeting)
