Knitting Workshops
Members of the Inner City group are happy to offer free learn to knit sessions for beginners or those needing a refresher course. Sessions 2.00pm - 3.30pm on meeting days. Wool and needles will be supplied. All ages welcome (children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). Bookings essential. We are fortunate to be able to offer a workshop with Jude Skeers to learn how to knit his wonderful Mobius scarves and wraps.
The workshop will be held in the City of Sydney Glebe Library on Saturday May 1st from 10am to approximately 4pm and will cost $30 for Inner City members - $40 for all others. There is a limit of 12 participants.
Bookings can be made by contacting Rosemary, Geraldine or Kris at the next Guild meeting on March 13th. To secure your place, payment must be made at the time of booking.
This will be a popular workshop so get in early!

One Day Möbius Workshop
Skill level: Intermediate

Students will learn the skills and techniques involve in knitting a Möbius Strip and a Möbius Wrap. They will learn how to:
Cast on a Möbius.
Design a Möbius Wrap of a variety of sizes and lengths.
Develop an understanding of the principles involved in Möbius Wrap knitting.
Cast off using loose cast off techniques.
Students will complete a sampler that incorporates all the principles of Möbius Wrap knitting, and they will commence a full sized Möbius to be completed later.
A Möbius is the perfect garment for enhancing any outfit. It sits on the shoulders and with its crossover remains in place, a Wrap that doesn’t slip off the shoulders.
A garment that is cast on in the centre of the back, and shaped as it grows in both directions.
Jude will provide: Broome Beanie Mobius Needle: 100cm circular needle with a 10mm pin and a 6mm pin Cost $10
Möbius patterns
Students are to bring:
A Ball of plain coloured yarn for the sampler.
A variety of 5ply and 8ply yarns, included feature yarns, that you may wish to use in your larger sized garment.
A tapestry needle for sewing in yarn
