The Inner City group meets at  Surry Hills Library on Crown Street in Surry Hills in the Function Hall on Level 1 at 11am on the 2nd Saturday each month. Transport information (PDF). The Convenors are Jody Podbury and Alison Parker. To contact the group, send e-mail to the Convenors.

Knitting Workshops

Members of the Inner City group are happy to offer free learn to knit sessions for beginners or those needing a refresher course. Sessions 2.00pm - 3.30pm on meeting days. Wool and needles will be supplied. All ages welcome (children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). Bookings essential. To book please email the group at learntoknit@knittersguildnsw.org.au or ring the library on 8374 6230.

Agenda for March 13th Meeting

Agenda for Inner City Branch of the Knitters Guild meeting, March 13, 2010, 11.00 am to 1.00 pm.

The meeting will be held at the City of Sydney Library, 2nd Floor meeting room, Customs House, Circular Quay.   Remember to sign the attendance register!  Subs are still a gold coin. And bring surplus books and mags for a swapfest  (knitting and crochet only)!

11.00 - Brief socialising and meeting set up. Now that our Group is so big, please help set out the chairs, and squash up close.  Latecomers will probably have to stand.

11.15 - Business:

11.45 - Tea/coffee break (Morning tea roster – Deborah, Bernadette, Maureen).  Remember we decided to reduce waste and landfill by bringing our own cups and plates - please do so if you can.  And take them home unwashed – discover your inner grub.

12.00 – Guest Speaker Jenny Chioatto – Lace Knitting.  Bring along any lace you'd like to have examined/identified!

12.30 - Book and magazine swap as part of Show and Tell.
