Knitting Workshops
Members of the Inner City group are happy to offer free learn to knit sessions for beginners or those needing a refresher course. Sessions 2.00pm - 3.30pm on meeting days. Wool and needles will be supplied. All ages welcome (children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). Bookings essential. Topic: Healthy Hands for Knitting

Topic: Fair Isle and Mosaic Knitting Techniques
Stranded colour knitting using the Fair Isle method or slip-stitch Mosaic knitting technique. Which do you prefer? Can you work with two colours - one in either hand? These interesting and well known techniques will be demonstrated, tips and hints shared, and with show-and-tell.
And did we enjoy Saturday 14 June?? Who went to the Sydney Quilt and Craft Fair and/or to World Wide Knit in Public Day? It was knitting (and crochet) bliss. Hear our reports at the July meeting.

Topic: Hats, gloves, mittens and slippers
Think small, portable projects and think of socks and scarves ... but what about hats, gloves, mittens and slippers? Come and join us as we share the options, techniques and new ideas for hats, gloves, mittens and slippers.
Saturday June 14 is a knitting extravaganza day - the Inner City Guild Group meeting 10:00 am to 12 noon - then down to Darling Harbour for the Sydney Craft and Quilt Fair and some look, feel, and stash purchase.
And .... it is World Wide Knit in Public Day .... the Sydney venue is Bayside Lounge, the Harbourside end of the Convention Centre, Darling Harbour, commencing at 2:00 pm - just a short walk from the Craft Fair.
Come and join us - be knitted out - on Saturday June 14.

Knit from the bottom up - knit from the top down - round and round - the challenge is a seamless (or nearly) sweater that looks good and fits perfectly. Learn about gauge, measuring, proportion and specific tips and tricks for knitting seamless garments.
