Maitland Group

There is no 'official' meeting this month just a wonderful get together for lunch and fellowship.  We will be meeting at the Windsor Hotel on the corner of Lawes and George St East Maitland, (opposite Glendoon Cottage) on Dec 21 at 11am.  Bring your knitting or crochet and get ready for a wonderful day of just enjoying each other.

Our next 'official' Knit n Nat at the golf club is December 7th, however some of us are so addicted to being together that we are meeting every Friday at the golf club, so come along any Friday and join us for lots of knitting and natting.

Finally all our Christmas knitting is complete and November's meeting will be a 'normal' one again.  Come along with whatever you are working on and enjoy the fellowship.

What won't be 'normal' is our AGM, which we will have prior to the starting of the normal one.  If you would like to be nominated for the position of Convener, Secretary or Treasurer you will need to get your nominations in by that morning.

There will also be a demonstration on machine knitting and you can have a hands on experience.

Don't forget to visit the Christmas Tree exhibition at the Therry Centre in East Maitland from Friday 23rd till Sunday 25th November. Vote for our exhibition to help us win.

We will be meeting on 2nd November for our normal Knit n Nat from 10am.  However a few decided they still wanted to meet each Friday at least till December, so if you feel like a get together before the 2nd, then come next Friday too.

The Knit n Nat at the Library will be on 10th and all welcome.

Full dress rehearsal for our Christmas tree at this meeting. Plus we will still be working on some finishing touches, but the good news is that we are almost finished.

We are also trying our hand at fund raising, by selling some Christmas puddings.  If you would like one for yourself or as a gift at Christmas come along and have a taste and either buy one on the day or order one for closer to Christmas.  A 1kg pudding is $20.
