The Maitland group meets at East’s Leisure and Golf Club on Tenambit Street in East Maitland at 10:00am on the 3rd Friday each month. The Convenor is Joyce Fisher. To contact the group, you can send an email to the convenor.

This month's meeting will not be at the Golf club as usual, but instead we are meeting at the Greenhills Stockland Centre for World Wide Knit in Public week. People all over the world will be knitting in public throughout this week and we are excited to participate also.
We will be sitting in the food court, just next to the Sushi bar. 10am till about 2ish. Bring your knitting or crochet and enjoy this time of displaying our craft to everyone who will be shopping at that time. Centre management have offered all who attend a free coffee, so call in at the information centre to pick up your card.
Joyce will also be teaching the Lizard Ridge stitch, which will be interesting in such a public setting. If you want to participate in this lesson you will need yarn of choice with appropriate needles. The recommended yarn is Noro Kureyon or Silk Garden which enables the Lizard Ridge pattern to show at its best, but if you don't have that yarn or a multi coloured yarn like it, then bring anything for the purpose of learning the stitch for now.
This will be an exciting endeavour for us and we welcome you to come and join us in our public knit along.
