Expressions of Interest Sought for Workshop Convenor

Expressions of interest are invited for the position of Knitting Guild NSW Inc, Workshop Convener, responsible to the Executive Committee, to:

• Accept and assess requests from Guild members for workshops and organise these where appropriate.
• Liaise with relevant individuals, organisations and associations to identify opportunities for workshops conducted by Guild and non- Guild tutors, as well as any visiting/overseas textile specialists.
• Compile and maintain a list of available Tutors for distribution to Branch Conveners.
• Facilitate appropriate arrangements for such workshops, including but not limited to dates, costing and venues.
• Forward course content, date, cost and other information to Executive for approval and Newsletter editor and Website convener for publication.
• Draw up annual Workshop Programme
• Maintain ongoing contact with Tutors to ensure all is in order
• Liaise with Workshop Booking Coordinator.
• Ensure Insurance and OH&S requirements for all workshops are met (Attendance Book, hazardous materials etc)
