NOTICE is hereby given that the Twenty Fourth Annual General Meeting will be held on SATURDAY, 6TH MARCH, 2010 at 11.00 a.m. in the Target Theatre, Powerhouse Museum, Harris Street, Ultimo.
The business of the meeting shall be: i) To adopt the minutes of the preceding Annual General Meeting. ii) To receive from the Executive Committee, reports upon activities of the Guild during the year ending December 31, 2009. iii) To elect members of the Executive Committee. iv) To consider the recommendations of the Executive Committee for Retail and Honorary members for the following year. v) To consider and authorise the submission of statutory returns under the requirements of the Associations Incorporation Act 1984. vi) To deal with any other business, the notice thereof having been given in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution.
Nominations are hereby called for the following positions and should be submitted in writing to the Returning Officer on the appropriate form, no later than Friday, January 29th, 2010. (The nomination form is available from the members-only forums on this website.)
President (1) Vice President (2) Secretary (1) Treasurer (1) Executive Committee Members (4)
Nominations for election shall be from financial members of the Guild.
Any Notice of Motion to be brought before the Annual General Meeting shall be proposed and seconded by two financial members of the Guild and shall be forwarded in writing to the Secretary no later than Friday, January 29th, 2010.
Only financial members of the Guild are entitled to vote at the Annual General Meeting. The closing date for membership renewal is Sunday, February 28th 2010. (Membership renewal forms are available from the members-only forums on this website.)
An Agenda, Notices of Motion, and Nominations for Executive Committee will be sent to all members after February 5th 2010.
The positions of Public Officer and Auditor will be appointed by the Executive Committee.
