The Guild will have a booth at the Royal Easter Show on Wednesday, April 2nd.

Coming Soon: Basic Design Workshop

Location: Uniting Church, Cnr Manning and Bong Bong Streets, Kiama

Cost: $40 per member, $45 per non-member

Whatever your lifestyle, body type and knitting level you are sure to find much in this workshop to entice you to go forward in self design. So you know how to cast on, knit, purl and cast off, the next step is to know the basics of design. In this workshop you will learn: 1. Tension, 2. Needles to yarn, 3. Measurements, 4. Know your labels, 5. Design a basic jumper for self, 6. Design using either straight or circular needles.

Coming Soon: Basic Skills Day

Date: Saturday 21st June 2008
Bookings: 12 May - 14 June
Cost: $40 per member, $45 non-member

The aim of the basic skills workshop is to teach Guild members techniques which will give their work the appearance of "handcrafted" rather than "homemade." The techniques to be taught will cover various methods of casting on & off, increases & decreases, various methods of sewing up, buttonholes, picking up stitches around necks and armholes, grafting, and blocking of work.
