The Guild hosts various knitting and crocheting workshops during the year, both online (via Zoom) and face-to-face. Additionally each group hosts their own workshops.
ADVANCED KNITTING FIXES: US knitting Superstar, Patty Lyons, will conduct this 2 hour workshop via Zoom on Saturday 14 March from 9.00am, via Zoom. Learn how to reverse a cable or add a missing one many rows down, add a missing YO, how to shorten or lengthen your knitted piece and much more. The cost of this workshop is $40 for Members and $50 for Non-Members. To book: https://www.trybooking.com/DHVXF
SLIP IT, FLOAT IT, TUCK IT: Another US knitting Superstar (and Guild Honorary Member), Bristol Ivy, is joining us on Saturday 11 April. In this class, she’ll show you how slipping stitches (and slipping’s compatriots, floating and tucking) instead of working them can lead to a pattern of their own and add texture, dimension, visual interest, and structure to our knitted fabric. We’ll start with a small swatch to understand the concepts, but by the end of class you’ll have the skills you need to create your very own slipped stitch masterpiece! Bookings will open on 1 February.
• Experience needed: knitting, purling, decreasing
ADJUSTING FOR A DIFFERENT GAUGE: Ann Budd's workshop in January was so popular that we have asked her to repeat it at a later date. Keep an eye out in KGBytes and on our website for further details.
For full details of these classes and other up-coming classes, refer to KGBytes, the Guild’s monthly newsletter, sent to all Guild Members on the first of each month. All booking information will be found there.
