The Guild hosts various knitting and crocheting workshops during the year, both online (via Zoom) and face-to-face. Additionally each group hosts their own workshops.
ENTERING THE SHOWS: Have you thought about entering the Royal Easter Show, or other shows that take place around NSW? We know that so many of you have the skills but don't have the confidence. Join an online talk with Guild judges about what is involved and what they are looking for. Thursday 4 December, 7.00pm, via Zoom. FREE. There is no need to apply to attend. All members will be sent a Zoom link a few days beforehand.
ADJUSTING FOR A DIFFERENT GAUGE: Ann Budd will be hosting one of her very popular workshops, giving us lots of advice about how to knit your garment to a different gauge from the one stated in the pattern. This is a VERY useful skill. The one-hour workshop will take place on Saturday 10 January at 10.00am, via Zoom. The cost is $20 for Members and $25 for Non-Members. ADVANCED KNITTING FIXES: US knitting Superstar, Patty Lyons, will conduct this 2 hour workshop via Zoom on Saturday 14 March from 9.00am, via Zoom. Learn how to reverse a cable or add a missing one many rows down, add a missing YO, how to shorten or lengthen your knitted piece and much more. The cost of this workshop is $40 for Members and $50 for Non-Members. Bookings will open on 1 December.
